Christchurch is one of the most liveable cities in the world, ranking Top 40 in the 2024 Happy City Index. For most people moving here, the first thing they notice is the space: wide streets, flat terrain, and short commutes.

Christchurch rebuilt itself significantly since the 2011 earthquake, and the result is a genuinely exciting place with excellent new infrastructure, a thriving hospitality scene, and a growing tech community. In the years since, the city has gained a world-class library, convention centre, aquatics centre, and a 30,000-seat stadium.

Canterbury was New Zealand's fastest-growing region in 2025, with close to 17,000 people relocating from Auckland between 2018 and 2023. About 28% of residents were born overseas. Once people arrive, they tend to stick around.

The Office

Our team has the flexibility to work whenever and wherever they want. But we believe the hardest problems are easier to solve when you're sitting next to the person you're solving them with — and that there's value in a clear boundary between work and home. We've put real thought into making Partly HQ a place that inspires, motivates, and connects the team.
